Building the Robot Wk 6
In group 10 we all had such a fun time building the robot. We all had a turn building and had a turn giving the suplise to the other people. Our Robot is called Robbie.
Week 7 of Robotics Daniella: Week 7 was really fun! We got to learn so much about with controling the arm and moving back and forth, doing a curve or a full turn. Electra did this really cool thing, she swiched something around and the arm started to turning. It was so cool. I felt like we were the best group ever (no offense to anyone else). I had so much fun. Week 8 of robotics we were doing the pedestrian challenge Kimberley: In week 8 we had a pedestrian challenge (This Challenge was so hard). I think we tried and failed 3 times but then we made it. It was so fun. Elektra: It was tough at first but once we got the hang of it, it was fun even though we failed twice on the 3rd atempt we were lucky. We were disappointed when we failed but it was fun at the same time. Rebecca: In week 8 we had a test on the pedestrian challenge, it was really fun. On our first go we missed it but on our second go it was really close except it went a bit too far. And on our last chance we measured really carefully to earn a high mark. And to our surprise it was perfect.I've had such a fun time. Daniella: In week 8 we had to do the pedestrian challenge. Every group had three chances of geting it exact. This was a very fun and exciting challenge. On the first atempt we had a try but didn't get it right but on the second try we got so close by knocked over the little person with robbies arm. On our third turn we GOT IT!!!!!!!! We where so excited and proud of robbie and ourself.
Week 9 of Robotics We Did assement task Daniella: In week 9 everyone had a Robotics assignment, we had five tasks. The first on we did was a full turn, next was a snake that has to have the same lenght in their turns, a Shimmy that is where the robot moves side to side quickly on the spot, sencer or arm movment and a figer 8 or a 2D Shap (like squars and triangles). We had a go at the full turn. We had a few trys but on the last turn we succeeded. Kimberley: Our robot is called Robbie. In week 9 we had to do a challenge with robbie the challenge was to make him turn 360 and stop in the same position. It was really fun we got a five out of five from Mrs Cooper and Mrs Burns. I think my group had alot of fun in that setion. Elektra: The assesment task is kind of scary, but still it was fun. It takes a long time. At first we started the 360 turn and stay on the same spot. Our robot robbie got a perfect score. We where so proud. I am really happy with the progress of our group. Rebecca: Today we are doing a 360 turn and a snake. the 360 turn seamed really easy. We got a five out of five for it. Miss Copper scored us. the snake was way harder. at first robbie was doing very big curve turns, then we ajusted it and it was doing very small turns. We ajusted the numbers again between the big and the small turns and it was just right. I am so happy.
Term 2 week 2 of robotics Daniella: This week we have had a bit of trouble with our robot Robby. Our robot isn't down loading the data. We are doing a shimmy. We are having a lot of fun geting stuff wrong and right. Kimberley: In week 2 we had a challeng to do a shimmy. We have had a bit of trouble. We all hope that we do it in the end. Elektra: This week we were having trouble with the shimmy. It was really frustrating because i was the on computer. We didn't finish it on time. I hope we finish it next week and get a good score. Rebecca: We have started a shimmy and are having trouble with it. I was the handler it was really annoying geting in and out of my seat but at the end we got a bit of help from Miss Burns. Term 2 Week 3 Of robotics Elektra: Finally we are making progress with the shimmy because Miss Burns came to helped us. Kimberley is on the computer and is doing a great job. We managed to finish the shimmy and got a 4 out of 5 which isn't perfect but a relief we got it done and now we can finish the assessment. Next week we have to make a dance so we better get the music soon and start to think up some groovy moves. Daniella: Finally we perfected the shimmy, well not really perfected in we got a 4 out of 5, but how could get a 5 out of 5 it is impossable. Before we couldn't get our robot to work, it wouldn't download the shimmy that we made on the computer. In the end we couldn't get it working so we called Miss Burns over to help us. We finally got robbie working. Like Elektra I can't wait to do some funky moves to some awesome music. Next week sounds so fun. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!! Kimberley: Rebecca: Today i was the robot handler, it was really fun being in control. We finally got the shimmy perfect. At first we got the hange of it. We got a 4 out of 5 for it.
Term 2 week 4 of robotics Kimberley: Today was really fun, we chose our music it was the Lasy Song. With our dance everything has to be in beat and the moves have to match the music. Its gonna take a long ime to get it right :-) Daniella: We have finally chosen our music for our robot it is the Lazy song and we are on our way. It is so fun. Everyone elses dances look really good. I am so excited i can't wait to see the finished product.
Term 2 Week 5 Daniella: Today we have changed our song. Now it is Halo/ Walking on sunshine by Glee. I am so excited. Rebecca: today we changed our song. We had a bit of trouble finding the right beat and steps to the lazy song. Our new song is Halo/ Walking on Sunshine.
Term 2 Week 6 Rebecca: We are still having trouble with our robot. All it is doing is going in a straight line. We are trying to start of with a touch sensor but it isn't working yet. Mis Burns came over and we finally got the robot working. Term 2 week 7 Daniella: today we have added so forward, back movments. I am really nervous because it is only Rebecca and I but it is really fun at the same time. this week we haven't done a lot but we defanatly need some one else to help us.
Term 2 Week 7 Daniella: this week we added a arm movement while robbie is turning in a circle. it was heaps better than last week because kimberley and Elektra was back at school happy and healthy. i am really happy because Elekltra and kimberley are really good on the computer.
Term 2 Week 9 Daniella: Today is the last day because tomorow is the due date. I am really nervous that we won't get it done. the costume isn't due it is only the dance. my idea for the costume is that i will make a little halo because our music is a mash up of walking on sunshine and halo, and walking on sunshine. term 2 week 9 due date today is the due date and i am very nervous.
